It really was an awesome show.

Here's somesortofastory:

Me and Visa headout to Helsinki to get our van and then we picked up Janne and went to Rehearsalplace #1 to get some of his gear.
Then we went to Rehearsalplace #2 to meet up with everyone else and get the rest of gear.

Now we play some cartetris for a while and start leaving to Nummirock.
There is something what Finnish midsummer-festival-trip really needs: Beer. Clock is 11am and everyone except me is drinking beer.

Drive there isn't that interesting. 4½ hours in car. Few pissbreaks and that's about it. Beer and horrible jokes. Rain and fog.

Now we're at the festival.

I drop them behind the mainstage and we unload the care. Now I leave them to put their stuff together and go and fetch our guitartech and few other person.
We get back and help with getting gear up and then it is time for soundcheck.

During the sparetime Visa and I went to checkout what's the atmosphere around the festival.
Band uses this time to put their paints up and warming up.

It's been raining the whole freaking day and everyones kinda bummed about that. Luckily something happened and during soundcheck the rain stopped slowly.
No rain and sun is trying to shine behind the clouds when Moonsorrow walks on stage.

Everyone is happy about the weather now and show starts and goes really well.
Audience seems really into the show and band is excited.
I think the biggest "problem" during the show was when Markos China-symbal fell (duringnoideawhatsong), but I noticed it when Marko started waving at it. Went and fixed it. Done.

Maybe one of the coolest moments during the show was when Ville started to speak for the last song.
There was this couple in front row and the lady was screaming: "play kuolleiden maa!!!".
After Ville's great speech: "As like everything, this show has to come to it's end. We are all going to die sometime. This is KUOLLEIDEN MAA!" and the front row-lady started crying for happiness.
Music seems to have huge influence.

They're playing it and maybe couple minutes in to the song, it starts to rain again.
It fits perfectly to the song. Made everything darker, gloomier, hopeless. Made everything right.

They played the end of the song by the longway. Mitja was first to leave the stage while leaving he's guitar against the amps to give feedback. Janne and Markus leave the same time and Janne does as Mitja did.
Marko and Ville continue slowing, slowing and slowing. During this Ville was lying on his back in the rain. Magical!

While leaving the stage Janne comes to me and gives me maybe the weirdest assignment I've had:
J: "Can you throw pics?"
M: "Maybe. I'm not sure"
J: "Good. Here. Throw them out sometime"
The I did as told.

After the show.
Band goes to wash off their masks and change their outfits. Visa, Me, Ande and Jukka start to tear down the gear.
It doesn't take long and then we play cartetris once again.

Sometime after Moonsorrow's show Korpiklaani played. Some of us went to watch it.

Mainstage and Inferno stage shares the same backstage area so Moonsorrow and Korpiklaani are once again united.
Beer flows and bad jokes fly. Everyone is having fun

Night goes on and people are getting drunker and drunker.
During I think 1am in the middle of the night I got the band in the van and we headed out to airport.
We were there sometime around 6am and the boys are of to Holland.

Me and Visa then head out to Rehearsalplace#2 to unload most of the stuff. The we go to Rehearsalplace #2 to leave Janne's stuff.

Get the van back where we go it and start our final journey to home.

This trip took us 27 hours, no sleep and around 1000km, but it was totally worth it and I'd leave right now to do it again.

If you're curious about something "behind the scenes" or something. Ask. I'll speak.

Thank you for the review.
I went to Nummirock in 2013 and it was great, sunny and warm. But since, it seems the weather is horrible every year. Pity it happens the same week-end as Hellfest, I don't know if I'll be able to go back because of that.
