Following the chat with Nightwica on another topic, I bring the case here (now that I'm sober...) because it bugs me more than it should.

I discovered the band in fall 2009 when they were opening band for Dark Tranquillity and bought Across the Dark at merch booth, later I bought the 3 previous ones and really got into the band during the winter. I was very supportive and pre-ordered the limited box of One for Sorrow months before its release. But the record never really grew on me :| I saw the band 4 times after that, 3 in festival and 1 as opening band for Moonspell, I enjoyed it a lot, but still didn't manage to enjoy the CD.
I gave them another chance with the last one, pre-ordered it again and all. When the "single" came online I was "meeeh..." while everybody was claiming it was good. I felt really misplaced  and now that the whole record is out, it's same as the previous one, it gets on my nerves easily, it sounds too much, I don't know "music for teenagers" (I really can't explain that feeling it gives me!!). Too much clean vocals? Too much keyboards? But I like a lot of bands with keys and clean vocals too!

And so, it bugs me! Why?? Why can't I enjoy this band anymore? What's happening? Is it me or them?? I now have trust issues with bands I like

Above the Weeping World is one of my all-time favorite albums but I was quite dissapointed with their latest release as well. I thought the single was pretty good though but I didn't really understand the hype.

"Is it me or them??"

It's totally them, dude.
